For the launch of apparel and footwear company adidas’ collaboration with Pharrell Williams’ Humanrace brand for their AW22 Samba Capsule, Take More Photos was briefed on creating compelling and engaging event video and photography that would be able to encapsulate the momentous event, highlight some of the high profile guests in attendance, as well as create iconic photography with the man of the hour, Pharrell Williams.
For the launch of apparel and footwear company adidas’ collaboration with Pharrell Williams’ Humanrace brand for their AW22 Samba Capsule, Take More Photos was briefed on creating compelling and engaging event video and photography that would be able to encapsulate the momentous event, highlight some of the high profile guests in attendance, as well as create iconic photography with the man of the hour, Pharrell Williams.
For this project, we wanted to take the idea of event photography and push its boundary. We didn’t want the iconic hero photos to feel like anybody else could have created it, so we came up with the creative concept of designing a bespoke set at the launch event where we would photograph Pharell, highlighting elements of the new collection. Similar to the event photography, we wanted the recap event video to keep inline with the same ethos we had for the photography, we wanted it to be innovative and evoke an element of FOMO for all those who were unaware of the launch event. We came up with an idea to merge aspects of POV video capture with normal event videography to create an experience for the viewer as if they were attending the event.

We enlisted photography and creative maverick, Armand Da Silva to capture hero photos of Pharell Williams in a creatively designed space at the event, which showcased him in adidas x Humanrace attire. We also captured the innovative POV-esque event recap video which featured the likes of Jourdan Dunn, Ciesay, Gabriel Moses, Pharrell Williams and more. The videos garnered around 210,000 views and the content in total over 20,000 likes
